TriSecOps launches cybersecurity for growth

A new cybersecurity partner, TriSecOps, has today officially launched its operations across Australia and the Asia Pacific, creating and deploying cybersecurity solutions that reduce risk and uncover opportunities for growth.

Through a unique, end-to-end cybersecurity offering, created and implemented by some of the region’s best cybersecurity talent, TriSecOps provides clients with a single point of control and accountability.

Founded in 2018 by industry veteran, Craig Davies, along with technology entrepreneur, Phillip Kingston, with backing from investment and advisory firm, Trimantium Capital, TriSecOps is on a mission to get boards and leadership teams to think of cybersecurity, not just as an area of risk management, but as a core part of their growth strategy.

Chief Executive Officer Craig Davies is the former CEO of the Australian Government’s cybersecurity industry growth centre, AustCyber, in addition to having also held senior security roles at Atlassian and Cochlear, along with technology roles with Westpac and startups, over the last 25 years.

Davies described today’s launch as an important milestone in the provision of more effective cybersecurity capabilities for clients across the Asia Pacific region.

“Organisations across the region face continuous cyber threats to their operations. And yet, most solutions are misaligned with organisational goals, focus solely on defence and compliance, and require multiple suppliers to achieve an outcome -- creating initial conditions that can actually expand the overall attack surface,” Davies said.

“Current providers also develop complex technical solutions that limit, rather than create, opportunities for growth.

“TriSecOps was built to provide forward-thinking organisations with a single point of control and accountability to reduce their risks and enable new opportunities for growth. We create and deploy cybersecurity solutions aligned with our clients’ organisational goals to enable growth.

“With an addressable market of $6bn in Australia alone, we’re bringing a new approach to cybersecurity that provides real assurance and allows companies to rapidly scale without compromising their cyber integrity.”

Davies is an Executive Director on the TriSecOps board and is joined by TriSecOps CFO and Executive Director, Craig McMenamin and Non-Executive Director, the Honourable Philip Dalidakis.

McMenamin brings more than 20 years’ experience in CFO roles, driving transformation and change in privately-owned and ASX-listed technology, healthcare and service companies.

Following a career in the private sector and government, Dalidakis was a Member of the Victorian Parliament from November 2014 to June 2019. Dalidakis also served as a Minister with portfolio responsibilities of Trade and Investment, Innovation and the Digital Economy and Small Business from July 2015 to November 2018. Dalidakis left Parliament to join Australia Post as the Executive General Manager, Corporate Services from July 1, 2019.

On joining the TriSecOps Board, Dalidakis said, “The opportunity to support local talent, scale Australian cyber businesses, address market failures and help secure our digital future is both exciting but also here and now. This is why I joined the TriSecOps Board in April.”

Operating across Australia and New Zealand with offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland, TriSecOps comprises a team of 20 cybersecurity specialists with deep expertise across strategic advice and on-demand tactical support, risk identification and mitigation, and cybersecurity awareness and education modules designed for high-growth companies.

TriSecOps’ current clients include large organisations in telecommunications, transport, property, financial services, technology, education, media and agriculture, in addition to various government departments and organisations.
